UNGRATEFULNESS

A man decides to bring his youngest brother to live with him in the city so that the latter can follow his studies. Our man is single and receives a modest salary that hardly allows him to satisfy his own basic needs. He does his best to help his brother graduate and get a good job. It is a personal achievement with an everlasting impression for life.

Unluckily, the youngest brother grows too selfish and ungrateful at the point that he despises his eldest brother, who is illiterate, and befriends a new band of colleagues at work. He discovers the life of nightclubs and its accessories and dedicates it all his money and time. He breaks up with his old friends and acquaintances who , anymore, don’t fit his new ambitions and way of living. He finds himself sunk in the darkness of the wrongdoing and misbehaviour. He loses his job and his band of colleagues disappears.

When asking the eldest brother about his feeling, he simply says: “I always do my best to fulfil my moral responsibility and I don’t think of what will happen after. Despite the horrible disappointment, I grow more determined and optimistic to go further in the same way. The good always prevails”.
