TALK TO SOMEBODY & TALK AT SOMEBODY

Examples :

– Big Men always talk at people instead of talking to them.

– You have to admit that you didn't talk to me, you talked at me.

The difference between them:

Talk at someone :

speak to a person without listening to him / her or let the one speak. You aren't interested or
ready to listen to that person because you consider yourself superior to the other one.

Talk to somebody :

There is a previous intention and readiness to talk and listen, to exchange views and set a
conversation or discussion.
